How to hide a folder or file in your laptop
There
are just something's that we don't want people to see in our pc.
So this
post is for those of you out there that dont want anyone to see their
stash of dirty movies and to those that just don't want anyone
to watch movies with their pc without first seeking permission.
Hiding a folder or file is easy as A, B, C. before i got to know about this i really suffered in the hands of my kid sister, then whenever i go out without my pc, i always come back to meet her either watching a movie with it or just scanning through it (which is very annoying). to cut a long story short, my cousin came for a visit and he taught me how to make a folder accessible only by me by hiding it.
Now to achieve this, All you need to do is go to the folder you want to hide (if the files you want to hide are scattered in different folders in your computer all you need do is create a folder and copy all the files you intend to hide in it) and right click on it. Now go to properties, and mark hide. (dont forget to select the option 'apply changess to this folder, subfolders and files')

Now go
to your start button and search for 'folder' (without the apostrophes)
when the results shows, click on folder options. when it opens, go to view and mark do not show hidden
files. Now apply this settings and click ok.
So now
you are done with everything, its time to check whether it worked. To do this, go to the place you kept the folder and check if
its still there. if the folder is still there maybe you didnt follow instructions, but if its not, 'congrats' you have learnt how to hide a folder.
Now To
unhide the folder, go to the start button and search for folder, open it, go to
view and mark show hidden files.
Dont forget to share.
