How to stop a program from running automatically whenever you boot your pc.
Whenever you boot a
computer, windows also loads programs that are automatically configured to
start with windows those programs are known as Start up programs. Some of this programs are important to the normal running
of your computer while others may serve no purpose at all (some of this could
be chat programs, security tools etc).
Having many of these programs in the startup brings
about slow booting, slow operation etc.
So to stop a program from starting up
automatically whenever you boot your computer follow the instruction below:

1. Open the Start menu and type run in the search box, now open it and input msconfig
into the Search box provided in the run application.
2. Click the msconfig
search result. The utility will open in a new window.
3. Click the Startup tab.
You'll see a list of programs that start when your computer starts.
4. To stop a program from
automatically starting whenever you boot the PC, uncheck the box next to its
entry.
5. When you are finished
deselecting startup items, click OK. You'll
be prompted to restart the computer. You don't have to restart it immediately,
but the changes won't take effect until you do.
You can always return to MSConfig to reverse the changes or
make additional tweaks.

1. On
your keyboard, press Ctrl, Alt and Delete
at the same time.
2. Click
on Task Manager.
3. Click
the Startup tab. You should now see a list of every
program that starts when Windows is loaded.To disabled an item, right
click on it and click Disable.
4. When
you are done, close the Task Manager. Changes will apply next time you restart
your machine.
NOTE:
Use caution when disabling items in MSConfig. Without doing your homework, you could end up disabling an important
application such as your antivirus program. inotherwords, before you stop a
program from running, be sure to determine what that particular program is and
also its value to you/your pc.
